Network plans normally use Mbps. File tools often show MB/s. To convert a theoretical network rate from Mbps to MB/s, divide by eight.

Actual downloads can be lower than the converted ceiling because transport overhead, remote server limits, storage and local network conditions consume part of the available capacity.
