LOCAL TOOLS

Calculators and converters run locally in your browser. Media checker tools inspect browser-readable metadata locally and do not intentionally upload selected files to 0bps.

LOCAL PERSONALIZATION

Tool favorites, recent-tool shortcuts, speed/quality test history, bounded calculator comparison scenarios and the bounded Network Workspace (including local projects, tags, notes and pinned items) can be stored in your own browser using localStorage. These local preferences and saved network-planning notes are not intentionally uploaded to 0bps and can be cleared from their respective browser interfaces. Workspace JSON, Project Bundle import and Scenario Comparison JSON import are read and validated locally by the browser. Scenario Comparison imports are limited to the same planning tool, version 1 and six snapshots, and require a local preview before apply. Project Bundle core summary fields are checked against the nested Workspace snapshot before preview. Selected import files are not intentionally submitted to the 0bps server.

SHAREABLE CALCULATOR URLS

Selected non-sensitive calculators can place bounded numeric/select settings in the page query string so you can copy a reproducible state URL. 0bps does not create a server-side saved result from this feature, but ordinary browser history, web-server, CDN or proxy logs may contain those query parameters. When valid shared state is loaded, the interface can remove the state query from the current address bar while keeping the loaded values; this does not retroactively erase earlier history or infrastructure logs. Do not place secrets or personal data in calculator fields.

CONNECTION INFO

The Connection Info module can display the request IP visible to the current page response plus optional browser network hints. The built-in application counters do not intentionally store the displayed IP or those connection values.

DNS LOOKUP

The DNS Lookup module resolves a hostname through the server DNS resolver. The built-in usage counter records only that the DNS tool was used, not the queried hostname. Because the hostname is submitted in the page URL, ordinary web-server, CDN or proxy logs may still contain the requested query string.

REVERSE DNS

The Reverse DNS module submits the entered IP address in the page query string so the server resolver can request its PTR record. The built-in usage counter stores only the reverse-DNS event name, not the entered IP, but ordinary web-server, CDN or proxy logs may contain the query string. The module does not connect to the target IP.

NETWORK TESTS

The Speed, Internet Quality, Ping and Jitter tests use Cloudflare measurement infrastructure and send test traffic to Cloudflare edge endpoints. Speed and Internet Quality can also send latency probes while download/upload measurement traffic is active in order to report loaded latency. Ping and Jitter use unloaded HTTP edge-latency requests and do not claim native ICMP measurement. Cloudflare may process measurement traffic under its own policies.

ANONYMOUS LOCAL COUNTERS

The built-in local metrics system records only named tool events and UTC daily totals. It does not intentionally store IP addresses, user agents, speed-test values or visitor identifiers in the local usage counter file.

DIAGNOSTIC ERROR LOG

When a supported browser tool fails, the built-in diagnostic log may store UTC time, error type, page path and a short sanitized error message. It does not intentionally store IP addresses, user agents, stack traces or measured speed values in this application log. Server-side exceptions recorded by production diagnostics are also bounded and omit request IP/user-agent fields.

SHORT-LIVED ABUSE CONTROLS

Selected public API endpoints use bounded request counters to reduce automated abuse. 0bps does not write the raw request IP into these counter files. Instead, the current request address is transformed into an hourly HMAC token used only for rate-limit counting; stale counter files are eligible for automatic cleanup. Ordinary hosting, CDN or reverse-proxy infrastructure may still maintain its own access logs outside this application.

ANALYTICS & ADS

Analytics or advertising integrations may load without a consent prompt because the site owner has disabled the built-in consent banner.

Third-party services may process technical and usage data under their own policies. Site owners should review this page and their legal obligations before enabling external services.
